Attendance:
If you are calling to excuse your student from school due to illness or an appointment, please use the attendance phone number to leave us a message, or send an email to the attendance email address to let us know.

COVID Protocols:
This year, masks are optional. COVID-19 vaccines are available to all and highly encouraged, but not required. If a student tests positive for COVID, please contact the front office to let us know. Students who test positive are required to isolate at home for at least 5 days before returning to school. 4J will continue to offer free take home tests for any student who comes to the front office and requests a test, and we will continue to offer free rapid onsite testing for any students who develop symptoms. The onsite rapid testing does require parent permission, which can be found HERE.
Checking students in/out:
If you are checking your student out of school early, you will need to come into the front office to sign your student out. Please call the school 10 minutes before arriving so that we can have your student ready and waiting in the office. If you are dropping your student off late due to an excused reason, please call or email the attendance line to get your student excused.

Laptops:
Laptops will be checked out and sent home with students on Friday. Students will get information on appropriate use of the devices on Thursday. All students will be responsible for charging their device over the weekend and returning with it on Monday.
The laptops are (1) new, (2) 4j property and (3) to be used for school purposes. All students were issued a binder with a laptop compartment for the computer and charging cord. This is the safe place for keeping their laptop and transporting it. Computers should be charged at home every night. Both the computer and cord need to be brought to school each day. If a student chooses to leave their binder and computer at school, it is safe in their locker.
Counselor Request:
For anybody wanting to meet with our counselor, Tim Coleman, our counselor request form is located HERE on our ATA website. Both parents and students are welcome to fill out the form.
PTO Information:
Join Ms. AJ and former Parent Group coordinator, Jenn Sheffler, for an intro to ATA WolfPAC. We will discuss how things have been done pre-covid, determine some roles for the group and share dates and planning. Thursday, September 22 from 6-7 pm in the ATA library.
Parking Lot:
It is congested before and after school in the parking lot. We encourage you to allow your child to meet you down the street or in the adjoining Boys & Girls parking lot. If you choose to park in the main lot – watch for pedestrians and pull all the way forward, remaining in your vehicle (Pause parking style). Remember students are learning until 3:35 and the least distractions from the parking lot and sidewalks is requested – we have lots of windows and prefer to keep the blinds up!

Covid-19:

Portátiles:
Las computadoras portátiles serán prestadas y enviadas a casa con los estudiantes el viernes. Los estudiantes recibirán información sobre el uso apropiado de los dispositivos el jueves. Todos los estudiantes serán responsables de cargar su dispositivo durante el fin de semana y regresar con él el lunes.
Las computadoras portátiles son (1) nuevas, (2) de propiedad 4j y (3) para uso escolar. Todos los estudiantes recibieron una carpeta con un compartimento para computadora portátil para la computadora y un cable de carga. Este es el lugar seguro para guardar su computadora portátil y transportarla. Las computadoras deben cargarse en casa todas las noches. Tanto la computadora como el cable deben llevarse a la escuela todos los días. Si un estudiante elige dejar su carpeta y computadora en la escuela, está segura en su casillero.
reunión del grupo de padres:
Únase a la Sra. AJ y la ex coordinadora del Grupo de Padres, Jenn Sheffler, para una introducción a ATA WolfPAC. Discutiremos cómo se han hecho las cosas antes del covid, determinaremos algunos roles para el grupo y compartiremos fechas y planificación.
