When: Friday, 2/17

Time: 2:45pm – 4:45pm

ATA will be hosting another student dance/activity night right after school on February 17th. Students joining will be expected to leave items in their lockers after school and join the fun in the cafeteria for music and dancing, games in the family room area, snacks for purchase, and a selfie station (phones allowed!)  At 4:45, students will be excused to lockers to get their stuff and get picked up or walk/bike home – no transportation provided.

Note: Parents may volunteer if we have a background check and approved volunteer application on file. Students are required to stay the entire time unless parent/guardian comes to get them. No outdoor access during this event.

Mentor Coordinator

ATA is looking for a volunteer to be the Mentor Coordinator. Our Middle School Lunchtime Mentoring Program supports at risk youth by partnering them with a Mentor for lunch once a week. ATA currently has the district’s most thriving Mentoring Program with 25 students being Mentored every week! The ATA Mentor Coordinator volunteers one day a week, on Thursdays from 11:15-2, and does another 30-ish minutes of communications during the week. The volunteer Mentor Coordinator works alongside the ATA Counselor, Tim, and is fully trained and supported by the 4J staff Mentor Coordinator. This is a fantastic way to get involved in our community and make a difference in the lives of young people! Please contact Kate Becker for more information:  becker_k@4j.lane.edu   541-517-0394

HOME WORK CLUB:

The Boys and Girls club will be hosting a homework club on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays here in the ATA cafeteria between 3:45 – 4:45! This is a great place to go for any extra help with homework, to work on assignments with peers, get caught up, and to study for upcoming tests!

TEEN TUESDAY:

The Boys and girls club will be hosting Teen talk Tuesdays in our cafeteria between 3:45 – 4:45. Teen talk Tuesdays focuses on age appropriate open discussions with students regarding issues and topics pertinent to a typical middle schooler. This is a great place where students can connect with their peers and engage in meaningful conversations with one another.
