Hello ATA Families & Friends

Hello ATA families,

This has been an exciting first month, technically three and a half weeks, of school. It feels so good to have a full building of students and staff members, to hear the symphonic chorus of sounds in the halls, and accumulate countless steps throughout the week. It’s hard to believe we’re rounding the bend into October! As we move into the changing of the season, I am continuously filled with gratitude every time I walk into the building.

We’ve already found ourselves in the strong current of the school year having completed schedule changes and getting into the routine of the days. Your students are becoming accustomed to schoolwide and classroom expectations at the same time as cultivating new and long time friendships. We know there are daily and weekly ups and downs and we are here to support and celebrate it all. Thank you again for trusting us with this endeavor.

We encourage and value your participation in your student’s education. We are available with our door open or with scheduled appointments. The coming months will go by quickly but I encourage everyone to slow down, take a breath (or many), and steep in the joy of each day.

In gratitude,
Mr. Tygart

School Information

Bikes, Skates, Skateboards, & Scooters
We encourage all students to bike, walk or carpool to school. A covered bike area is available for students in front of the Gynasium. Please lock and secure items at all times. Students may not store bikes, skateboards, or scooters in the building.

Always use the crosswalks and bike paths when traveling to and from school. Students are expected to walk their wheels while on campus.

State law dictates that all students under age 16 must wear a helmet when riding bikes, using inline skates, skateboards or scooters.
