Here's what you need to know:

Conferences are drop-in during the times below. There is no sign-up. Our goal is to provide enough variety and windows of time that all parents and students can attend when it best fits their family's schedule.

Conferences Schedule:

Monday, November 24: 1 PM - 8 PM

• 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Tuesday, November 25: 8:15 AM - 11:30 AM

**Please allow for 20-30 minutes for your conference. The breaks in between are provided for teachers to leave the space for food or prep. 

Conferences are student-led

This means that students will have a slideshow ready to present and share with you at conferences. The slideshow will highlight the first quarter of the year, including projects, reflections, and conversation starters about Canvas, grades, progress, and goals.

Student Led Conferences are a chance to see your child's progress and check in with teachers.

At middle school, there are more students than staff and not enough time to meet with all 125-150 students at each grade level. Student led conferences provide a dedicated time and space for you and your student to meet with full focus on how they are doing academically. Teachers are available to connect, answer questions, and support the family.

Teachers are available for check-ins during conferences.

While students are in charge of leading the conference with you, teachers are available to answer questions and provide additional feedback.

All student conferences will be held in the large gym.

Tables will be set up with laptops for you and your students to meet. You need not bring anything additional with you. All teachers (grade level and content) will be wandering to support conversation and answer questions.

How were conference dates determined? How can we find out about these events further in advance?

• The district determined the conference schedule for all schools. The district calendar for this year and '26-'27 can be found on the 4J website

• ATA's 2025-26 school year Google calendar can be viewed and synced to your device via this ParentSquare app.

Will there be a zoom option?

• No, there is not a zoom option, however you and your child can view their slideshow online from anywhere using your child's 4J log-in.

Which teachers can I meet with during the conference times?

• All teachers will be available during conference times for check-ins.

Can parents come at separate times or different days?

• Yes, this is a drop-in event. You and your child may come during any of the open sessions.

Are there other days that conferences will be offered?

• No. This is the designated conference time for the school year. No alternative dates are scheduled

Do we need to schedule or commit to a specific time?

• No. You may drop by during any of the time frames listed above.

How long do conferences take?

• A conference typically lasts 20-30 minutes, depending on how much you engage with your child or the teachers.

Does my student have to attend?

• Yes. These are student led conferences, meaning that your student must be there to guide you through their online portfolio of work.
