Hello ATA Families & Friends

Dear ATA Families and Friends,

Can you believe we are nearly at the end of the school year? May is buzzing with energy, and there is so much to celebrate. Our students are taking their annual field trips, our track and field team had an amazing meet yesterday, and we have drama, band, and choir performances just around the corner. Please check our calendar regularly so you do not miss a moment of the action.

At this moment, students are completing their annual state assessments, and they are doing a tremendous job. I am excited to see the results and celebrate how far we have all come this year.

We also have an exciting visit on the horizon. Dr. Charlene Williams, Director of the Oregon Department of Education, is planning to stop by next month to connect with our students. We are honored to welcome her and proud to show what our school community is all about.

As always, please stay connected with your child's teachers if you have questions about grades or coursework. They are available, prepared, and ready to help.

Finally, my door is always open. If you have questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share, please do not hesitate to give me a call or stop by. It truly takes all of us working together to make this a great place to learn and grow.

Okay, that is it for now. Have a wonderful weekend.

School Information

Food in School
As students walk to school on these nice days, many have the tendency to stop by Albertsons or 7-11 to grab a cold coffee or soda. These drinks are finding their way to the classrooms, and some are ending up on the hallway floors, creating a mess for the custodians. We have reminded students of the rules that are outlined in the Student Handbook:

● Food may not be consumed in hallways, bathrooms, or on the track.
● Energy drinks are not allowed on school property.
● Lunch and breakfast are restricted to identified eating areas
● Snacks should be healthy choices.

Thank you for helping your students make healthy choices!
