Hello ATA Families & Friends

Can you believe September is almost over? This means we've been in school for nearly one month now! It's been wonderful to see our hallways buzzing with activity, our classrooms filled with curious minds, and our community coming back together with such enthusiasm.

By now, students have settled into their routines, teachers have gotten to know their new classes, and I hope you're all finding your rhythm at home as well. This early stretch of the year sets a strong foundation, and I'm proud of how our students have embraced new challenges, made new friends, and jumped back into learning.

As we continue settling into the year, please let us know if you need anything. If you have questions about your student's classes, please don't hesitate to reach out directly to their teachers — they're your best resource for day-to-day updates.

I also want to apologize for any confusion regarding Curriculum Night. We wanted to make sure it didn't conflict with our neighboring schools' schedules, so we've moved it to next month. Details are below.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to share that our Flex classes will begin next month in October, including access to the thrift store. Speaking of new opportunities, we're also in the process of launching a school coffee shop (for staff), where students will gain hands-on experience working in a small business. More details to come, but I'm excited and hopeful we can get it up and running next month as well.

As always, please continue to check our school calendar for the latest happenings at ATA.

Take care,
Dr. G

Health Room Information

School Nurse
● Eugene School District 4J provides a nurse as a consultant who works at multiple locations. Our school nurse is here two days per week.
● In case of emergency, a nurse will be secured from one of the high schools or 911 emergency services will be called.
● If your child is ill or has a minor injury, please keep your child at home and contact your personal physician, or utilize Churchill High School’s health clinic (541-790- 5227).
Health Room Visits
As stated above, there is not a school nurse on site daily. Health room visits should be limited to injuries or illnesses including fevers, vomiting, bleeding, broken bones, or staff discretion of injury severity. Classroom teachers have access to bandaids, water, and sinks in the rooms.

Curriculum Night

We're so sorry for any confusion over the rescheduling of Curriculum Night. Due to a conflict we had to move it by a couple of weeks to Wednesday, October 7th. This is your opportunity to experience a miniature version of a day in the life of your middle school student. Parents follow their student's schedule on a shortened format & meet each teacher for a brief introduction and presentation. Come learn about curriculum and what to expect from your student's middle school experience this year at ATA.

ATA Cross Country

Last chance to join, registration closes next week!

This will be just the 4th season for 4J XC. ATA boys were district champions the 1st season and the girls have been district champions the past 2 seasons. Obviously we want to carry on this tradition and the girls are poised for a  THREE-PEAT! Looking like we could have boys and girls individual champions as well.
